The cluster in this amethyst crystal has deep purple tones and is surrounded by agate that has been polished. It measures 12.5" high by 8.25 wide at the base, and 5.5 in depth. It weighs 28 lbs. The crystal is protected by a special compound that prevents it from flaking which is common with natural crystals. Amethyst is produced by the presence of trace amounts of iron and manganese in a clear quartz, giving it it beautiful purple.
